Preferred methodology

ID/HPT modELs

ADDIE, Harless’ Front-End Analysis, Gagne’s Nine Events of Instruction, Kirkpatrick Four-Level, Action Mapping, and Hiatt’s ADKAR

The ID/HPT models that I prefer to utilize are performance oriented. These models cover a few of important topics, such as behavior, learning and instruction, gap analysis, evaluation and assessment, and change management methods. Improving performance requires a comprehensive strategy. These models offer me comprehensive approaches to addressing learning and performance improvement.

Project Management Schedules

One-Page Project Management and Gantt Chart

My professional experience has been focused on management and compliance. As a result, I am aware of the importance of communicating clearly when attempting to gain influence over stakeholders. As a result, developing the ability to use the one-page project manager template, taught in EME6631 Managing Instructional Development, to generate a practical communication plan to communicate a project's status has been advantageous.

data analysis tools

Qualtrics XM and Survey Monkey

Inquiry and measurement are integral to human learning and performance. Whether it be the feedback of participants in an instructional training or employees evaluating and sharing their insight of a change process, surveying is a data collection method I regularly use this approach. Learning the methods to efficiently develop and administer survey questionnaires has increased my competence as an ID and HPT professional.

learning managment systems (LMS)

Canvas, Articulate 360, and Google

Since learning management systems (LMS) are a crucial component of learning, mastering how these platforms function to create e-learning materials, courses, and training is a feat I take seriously. Although my learning curve has been high, my ability to use an LMS program supports my commitment to strengthening my technological skills as an ID and HPT professional. The completion of e-learning projects in my courses and internship demonstrates my understanding to be effective.

graphic design applications -AND- video/audio development & editing

Google Slides, Canva, and Microsoft Publisher

Audacity, VSDC video editor, and Camtasia

Instructional designers must understand the value of visual literacy and the principles of multimedia, visual, and graphic design. My foundational knowledge in technology and media competencies have improved my ability to produce and disseminate instructional content and materials, choose the right technology tools to utilize when designing, and has increased my ability to communicate visual concepts.
